Jeremiah 17:7,8
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and it will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease form yielding fruit.”
We have these purple flowers on our deck that my mom planted a while ago. As the seasons changed they withered and begin to die. They turned brown and seemed to disappear altogether. then suddenly one day we noticed something growing in the planters boxes. All these flowers were coming back up. They are even more beautiful then before. Everytime I see them I’m reminded of how God gives life and causes good things to grow. His love for us never dies. It is constant and unfailing.
‘Love changes darkness into light
And makes the heart take “wingless flight”
Oh, blest are they who walk in love,
They also walk with God above’
